Gearbox has announced a delay for the upcoming Borderlands 4 patch that was set to nerf some of the game's most effective setups. This delay allows players another weekend to take advantage of these builds before changes go live early next week.
Update Features and Delay
The delayed Day 30 update will feature balance adjustments, performance and stability improvements, and new quality-of-life options. Originally scheduled for release at the end of this week, Gearbox confirmed that the update’s launch has been postponed to ensure a better user experience. Creative director Graeme Timmins had previously mentioned a seven-day window for some of the game’s more unbalanced builds; this period has now been extended.
Extended Gameplay Opportunities
The delay grants players more time to utilize powerful setups like the Vexbleed and bleed-stacking crit knife. Meanwhile, the regular weekly reset has been implemented, with recommended encounters involving The Oppressor and The Council Divide. Additionally, the Halloween event, Horrors of Kairos, will commence on October 23, 2023, adding to the excitement for players.
