Following a launch day outage that disrupted access for many Battlefield 6 players, EA and Battlefield Studios are providing affected users with free in-game rewards. The outage primarily affected players who purchased Battlefield 6 via the EA app.
Compensation Details
Players who experienced the EA app outage will receive 12 Hardware Boosters and 12 Career Boosters. Additionally, they will be granted full access to a seasonal battle pass. Those who own the Phantom Edition, which already includes the current battle pass, will instead receive the Season 2 battle pass.
The outage, which coincided with the game’s release, left players unable to access Battlefield 6 for several hours. Furthermore, some users were incorrectly prompted to purchase downloadable content they already owned.
Steam Issues and Fixes
Steam users reported a warning indicating that Battlefield 6 was not yet released during download attempts. Battlefield Studios recommended a workaround involving changes to game property settings and clearing the download cache. They continue to investigate ongoing issues with Phantom Edition benefits and other rewards.
These compensatory measures come as part of EA and Battlefield Studios' efforts to address launch day technical challenges and ensure player satisfaction moving forward.
