Malware Infects 250,000 Devices Globally After Torrent Download

In August 2023, a user from company X was compromised by malware after installing a program downloaded via torrent. The malware collected information, installed remote management software and a miner, and sent data to a Telegram bot. Over 250,000 devices in 164 countries were infected, mostly non-corporate users.
