Autosave and Progress Control
The game employs a single autosave slot which is triggered automatically, as indicated by an Anarch Tags icon in the upper-right corner. Quitting or returning to the main menu may lead to the loss of unsaved progress. Starting a new game overwrites the existing autosave, but the previous state is maintained in a backup checkpoint file.
Game Management Features
The title-screen Load Game feature functions as a chapter select, displaying one save per main quest. Bloodlines 2 includes about 22 main quests, and selecting a quest allows players to restart it, subsequently overwriting the current autosave.
