A glitch in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies forced a recount of the world-first race, impacting many players and leading to a major developer patch.
Controversial Race Result
The competitive race aimed to complete the Zombies easter egg and unlock Cursed mode ended in disarray. The first team to finish encountered a game-breaking bug: enemies ignored one player. Call of Duty YouTuber Milo, also known as MrRoflWaffles, was the affected player.
The immune status due to the bug led Milo to invalidate his own team's run, stating, "My completion does not count." He urged Treyarch to wait for another legitimate completion before recognizing a winner.
Developer Response and Update
Treyarch acted quickly, issuing a patch to address the bug that plagued the race. The update should mitigate similar issues in the future, ensuring a fair gaming experience.
In the meantime, a second team led by NoahJ456 reached the end of the Zombies event successfully and was acknowledged as the world-first completion by Treyarch.
This outcome reaffirms the importance of addressing in-game issues promptly to maintain competitive integrity.
