Paradox Interactive has released a major expansion for Crusader Kings 3: All Under Heaven. This update introduces new cultures from China, Japan, and Southeast Asia.
Gameplay Enhancements in China
The expansion adds a decision mechanism to push family members through exams for qualification gains. Notably, it also enhances the Celestial Government mechanics in China, removing hindering maintenance penalties to help resist bankruptcy during revolts.
The update allows flexibility in using the Consolidation casus belli on several de jure empires within China, and players can decline tributary duties to pursue wars.
Minor Update Details
Accompanying the expansion, minor update 1.18.0.2 brings refinements to databases, localization, and addresses various bugs. Visual enhancements for Southeast Asia are planned in update 1.18.1, expected next week, with 1.18.2 set for the end of November.
