Amazon Prime's Fallout series has spurred a rise in concurrent players across several Fallout games. The show's second season has coincided with increased play of titles such as Fallout 4, Fallout 3, and Fallout: New Vegas.
Concurrent Player Increases
Fallout 4, previously experiencing peaks of around 22,000 players, now sees daily increases. Fallout: New Vegas, which averaged about 8,000 concurrent users, has also seen substantial growth. Fallout 3, initially the smallest rise, increased from 700 to nearly 1,000 players.
Fallout 76 recorded its biggest rise, soaring from 20,000 to nearly 30,000 concurrent players since December 2023.
Expanded Support and Updates
Bethesda plans continued support for Fallout 76, recently introducing the Glow of the Ghoul update. Creative Director Jon Rush confirmed ongoing commitments to the multiplayer title.
Speculation surrounds potential remastered releases of Fallout 3, with fans eager for official announcements. Fallout director Todd Howard mentioned that Fallout 5's storyline will align with the show's events in development.
Factors Behind Growth
The uptick in players aligns with the Amazon Prime series' popularity and Steam’s Winter Sale, enhancing game accessibility. These factors collectively boosted gaming activity in the Fallout community.
