Techland Shifts to On-Site or Hybrid Working Model

Dying Light developer Techland is making significant changes to its working setup, moving towards a primarily on-site or hybrid model. According to reports from Polish outlet CD Action, the company is no longer allowing staff to work from home. Employees based abroad are also being asked to come into the office for eight days out of every two months, with managers receiving less than 24 hours notice of the shift.

In a statement to GI.biz, a representative for Techland explained that the decision was driven by a desire to enhance collaboration within the team. “While remote work remains an option, we’re transitioning most roles to either an on-site or hybrid model,” they said. “Employees who live near our offices will be asked to work from the office three days a week. For those working remotely from abroad, we’re asking them to come to the office regularly to foster stronger connections.”

The statement also emphasized that employees can still request home office days as needed, and that the company is committed to supporting individuals through the transition. “We understand this is a big change and all employees can still request home office days on demand as needed. We’ve just started this process and it’s our goal to make the transition as smooth as possible and to support everyone individually,” Techland stated.
