Hitman: World of Assassination will introduce cross-progression on 2026-02-03, as announced by IO Interactive. This new feature will allow players to carry their in-game progression across different gaming platforms, enhancing the overall gaming experience.
Cross-Progression Details
Players can expect to have several metrics shared across platforms: Experience points, Player Level, Challenges, Location Mastery, Unlocks and Inventory, Achievements and Trophies, Freelancer Mode Progression, and Campaign Story Progress. According to IO Interactive, enabling cross-progression has been a strategic goal, potentially linking to the upcoming co-op mode.
Usage and Limitations
An IOI Account is required to enable cross-progression. However, game licenses and downloadable content (DLC) will not automatically transfer between platforms and must be purchased separately. Furthermore, the transition from Hitman 2 to Hitman 3 carryover process will be closed. Thus, Hitman 2 progression can no longer be imported into Hitman World of Assassination after 2026-02-03.
