Mednafen is a versatile multi-system emulator that supports a wide range of consoles and platforms, including Apple II/II+, Atari Lynx, Neo Geo Pocket (Color), WonderSwan, GameBoy (Color and Advance), NES, SNES, Virtual Boy, PC Engine/TurboGrafx 16 (CD), SuperGrafx, PC-FX, Sega Game Gear, Genesis/Megadrive, Master System, Saturn, and Sony PlayStation. Unlike conventional emulators, Mednafen operates via command line, which might seem unusual at first. However, it's easy to use: simply drag your game ROM to the mednafen.exe file. For PSX games, remember to save the BIOS to the firmware folder. Once your game is running, press 'Alt+Shift+1' to configure controls to your liking. For Xbox or PlayStation controllers, additional setup is required, but comprehensive guides are available on Mednafen's official website. Despite its small size of just 6 MB, Mednafen allows you to emulate over a dozen systems, offering access to thousands of games. Various front ends are also available to enhance your user experience.

What a gem! Mednafen has been a total blast to use. The controls are super intuitive, and there's such a great library to choose from! I’m seriously impressed! This is what emulation should be like! Can’t get enough!

Mednafen is an interesting app. The graphics are nice and it runs some games super well. There were a few crashes that annoyed me, though. I think it has potential, but I’m hesitant to fully commit!
