Mednafen is a versatile multi-system emulator that supports a wide range of consoles and platforms, including Apple II/II+, Atari Lynx, Neo Geo Pocket (Color), WonderSwan, GameBoy (Color and Advance), NES, SNES, Virtual Boy, PC Engine/TurboGrafx 16 (CD), SuperGrafx, PC-FX, Sega Game Gear, Genesis/Megadrive, Master System, Saturn, and Sony PlayStation. Unlike conventional emulators, Mednafen operates via command line, which might seem unusual at first. However, it's easy to use: simply drag your game ROM to the mednafen.exe file. For PSX games, remember to save the BIOS to the firmware folder. Once your game is running, press 'Alt+Shift+1' to configure controls to your liking. For Xbox or PlayStation controllers, additional setup is required, but comprehensive guides are available on Mednafen's official website. Despite its small size of just 6 MB, Mednafen allows you to emulate over a dozen systems, offering access to thousands of games. Various front ends are also available to enhance your user experience.

The content of games with a PEGI 3 rating is considered suitable for all age groups. The game should not contain any sounds or pictures that are likely to frighten young children.
