Unlock the full potential of your Xiaomi, POCO, or Redmi device with Mi Unlock, Xiaomi's official tool for unlocking the bootloader on its Android devices. By unlocking the bootloader, you can modify the recovery, gain root permissions, or flash a custom ROM. All Xiaomi devices come with a locked bootloader, but Mi Unlock makes it easy to unlock using your PC. To get started, enable the 'OEM Unlock' and 'USB Debugging' options in your device's settings. Ensure your Xiaomi account is linked to the device and insert a SIM card. Download and unzip Mi Unlock, then open 'miflash_unlock.exe'. Enter your Xiaomi account details, turn off your device, and press the power and volume down buttons simultaneously to enter Fastboot mode. Connect your device to your PC via USB and press 'unlock'. If the unlock button is inactive, update your USB connection drivers by clicking the cogwheel and the first 'check' button. After a 168-hour waiting period, reconnect your device and click 'unlock' again. Note that unlocking the bootloader will erase all user data to protect your information in case of theft.
