Microsoft updates the Edge browser's interface with elements from its Copilot app, refining the design in the latest Canary and Dev builds.
Interface Changes in Edge
The Edge (browser) Canary and Dev Channel previews feature a redesigned UI inspired by the Copilot app. Context menus, the New Tab page, settings, and dropdowns now incorporate Copilot colors and font styles, emphasizing rounder corners.
The Copilot design diverges from Windows 11's Fluent Design and was previously unique to the Copilot app. In the new builds, the interface changes are visible even when Copilot Mode isn't active. However, the New Tab page reverts to showing MSN news and Bing search when Copilot Mode is off.
Copilot Features in Testing
Microsoft is testing the Copilot design with Copilot Discover, an AI-powered version of MSN. This variant aims to integrate seamlessly with the overall Edge user experience.
The UI overhaul is part of a scheduled rollout for users on the Canary and Dev Channel builds. Microsoft plans to extend the update to production versions of Edge soon, enhancing its visual coherence across platforms.
