Minecraft Live Unveils New Features for 2025

27 Sep 2025

Minecraft Live recently unfolded a slew of exciting revelations, setting the stage for the upcoming Copper Age and the much-anticipated Mounts of Mayhem, offering a glimpse into the evolving world of Minecraft in 2025. Enriching the game with new dimensions, these updates promise to enhance gameplay with innovative features and intriguing challenges.

The Copper Age

Set to launch on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, The Copper Age sees the introduction of copper as a functional material in Minecraft. This versatile resource stands between iron and gold in terms of protection and durability, now poised to craft tools, armor, weapons, and essential elements like torches and lanterns. One of the standout features is the new Copper Golem, a helper entity designed to sort items into specialized Copper Chests efficiently, paving the way for more organized inventories.

Additionally, the update enriches interior design options with the copper-tinged torches and lanterns, adding a unique aesthetic touch to user creations. The Shelf, another innovative addition, acts as a multi-functional storage solution, able to hold entire stacks of items while mimicking a large item frame.

Mounts of Mayhem

Coming later in 2025, Mounts of Mayhem introduces dynamic elements like the tamable Nautilus, an underwater mount. This fascinating creature allows players to explore the depths without worrying about air bubbles, thanks to its unique feature of preserving the player's oxygen levels indefinitely. Additionally, the mount can be equipped with armor for enhanced protection, although players must be wary of the hostile Zombie Nautilus variant.

Mainstream weaponry also sees an update with the advent of the Spear. This versatile arsenal addition enables players to jab or launch powerful attacks, with increased damage at higher speeds, particularly effective while mounted. Available for testing in Bedrock previews and Java snapshots prior to its full release, the Spear marks a noteworthy evolution in the combat mechanics of Minecraft.

Extended Excitement

The recent showcase did not stop with these headline updates. Minecraft Live also celebrated the quirky Happy Ghast with a special video highlighting its adorable antics from the Chase the Skies update. Furthermore, fans were thrilled to learn of the impending arrival of a Dragon Ball Z DLC, slated for later this year, promising even more vibrant crossovers and creative content to enrich the adventures within Minecraft.

As Minecraft fans eagerly await these updates, the dynamic innovations unveiled during the showcase promise to deepen player engagement and expand the creative possibilities within the Minecraft universe. From crafting new resources to mastering underwater navigation and wielding powerful new weapons, the future of Minecraft in 2025 is bright and full of potential.
