The selection process for these competitors adds another layer of excitement: hopeful participants are randomly chosen from pre-registered attendees and must confirm their participation by answering an unlisted phone call. Missed calls lead to immediate replacement, ensuring only the most alert make it to the spotlight.
The 2025 Omegathon Schedule
This year’s tournament kicks off with its first round at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 29, featuring Minecraft. A relentless theme persists through the subsequent stages, with cleverly coined titles for each round: Minecraft! on Saturday morning, Minecraft? on Saturday afternoon, followed by Minecraft… on Sunday, and finally, Minecraft :) on Monday morning. Each match-up promises to test the strategy, creativity, and adaptability of the Omeganauts, culminating in a secret final game scheduled for Monday evening.
