After a period of anticipation, Cities Skylines enthusiasts have reason to rejoice. Colossal Order, in collaboration with Paradox Interactive, is rolling out new content for the beloved city-building simulation game. This follows the success of its sequel released in 2023, demonstrating ongoing support for the original game.
New Additions Amplify Customization
The latest update brings two fascinating creator packs and a distinctive radio station, all aimed at enriching the player experience. The first, titled Shops of Shibuya, is crafted by acclaimed creator 'Stop it D'. This pack is a tribute to Tokyo's vibrant Shibuya ward, featuring three unique buildings, two parks, and a plethora of 47 props. Furthermore, it introduces 27 commercial growables that cater to both low- and high-density developments, inspiring urban planners to infuse a slice of Tokyo into their cities.
The second offering, Map Pack 4, developed by 'Uncle Ron', presents 10 diverse maps alongside 10 thoughtfully designed intersections. Players can immerse themselves in landscapes ranging from arid desert plains to lush, forested alpine fjords. This addition is poised to challenge even the most seasoned players, inviting them to rethink their urban designs.
A Melodic Journey with Harumi Nights
Accompanying the visual enhancements is Harumi Nights, a radio station introducing 16 tracks. Each piece is inspired by the vibrant nightlife and the electrifying aura of neon-lit modern Japan streets. This auditory experience encourages players to indulge in creative city-building activities while being serenaded by the music emblematic of bustling Japanese nightlife.
All content, whether in a bundle or purchased individually, is set to launch on Wednesday, September 24. Available on Steam, the new packs are accessible to the game's broad audience. This update underlines Colossal Order’s continued commitment to fostering immersive environments in Cities Skylines, ensuring players have an array of fresh, engaging content to explore.
