It acts as an intermediary, making games recognize your PlayStation controller as an Xbox controller, necessitating Xbox drivers unless you're on Windows 8 or later. Essential requirements include Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5, Visual C++ 2010 and 2013 Redistributable Packages, and DirectX Runtime. For DualShock 3, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR is needed, while DualShock 4 requires Bluetooth 2.1 or higher. SCPToolkit also supports unofficial controllers, making it a versatile tool for gamers.
