The latest update, currently available in the Windows 11 Dev and Canary builds, comes with a Quick markup option that saves time by letting users annotate images before they are even captured.
Streamlining the Screenshot Process
With the new Quick markup feature, users can open Snipping Tool via Win+Shift+S or by launching the application directly. Before selecting an area of the screen to capture, a Quick markup button now appears on the top toolbar. By clicking this or pressing Ctrl+E, the tool is activated, allowing immediate editing within the selection area. This effectively removes the need for separate editing steps post-screenshot, significantly improving workflow efficiency.
