Keepsake Games has released a significant update for Jump Space, introducing a range of enhancements and new features aimed at expanding the game's appeal. The Vendor Update incorporates melee weapons, vendors, and new mission elements, enhancing the galactic adventure experience.
New Features and Additions
Players can now wield melee weapons, including the Heatblade, capable of deflecting enemy fire. New vendors have been introduced: Bozze offers a randomly rolled lineup of guns, refreshed with each loading of the Hangar hub, while Vosk provides artifacts for pre-mission upgrades.
The update also expands Jump Space with eight new sectors and sector modifiers such as Materia Remnants and High Legion Presence, altering the gameplay with material clouds and increased enemy presence respectively.
Special Events and Impact
Coinciding with the update, a Halloween event invites players to collect pumpkins for Bozze with an exclusive jack-o'-lantern helmet awarded to those who meet the challenge by 2023-11-10. This event aims to foster engagement and player participation in seasonal content.
Keepsake Games reports successful sales, with Jump Space having sold 430,000 copies on Steam. The update seeks to broaden its fast-paced co-op ship-and-shooter appeal.
