The Outer Worlds 2 introduces a double jump feature available through the acquisition of P.A.L.E. boots found during a particular side quest.
Obtaining P.A.L.E. Boots
Players can access the double jump via P.A.L.E. boots located in the Spire Grove area on the first planet. The boots are acquired during the side quest “A Final Death For Gravity.” During the quest, search for Ida Rutledge near the Vox Relay to find the boots. Be vigilant at the top of the hill; a body will fly from a platform, which players need to loot to receive the boots.
How Double Jump Works
After acquiring the P.A.L.E. boots, players can utilize the double jump by pressing the jump button a second time. This allows access to areas previously unreachable. Note that the boots do not need to be equipped to activate the feature.
Side Quest Essential
The double jump capability is exclusive to this side quest and can be missed if players only follow the main storyline. Including this exploration aspect enhances gameplay and provides additional content.
