The Outer Worlds 2 has introduced a unique helmet: A New Point of View Mk 2. The helmet creates an unusual arcade-style gameplay experience.
Unique Features and Effects
A New Point of View Mk 2 is rare and linked to a collectible quest. Its key feature: transforming game visuals into arcade-style pixel graphics. If the player is downed while wearing the helmet, they can pay 2,000 bits—rather than using a Trauma Kit—to revive, akin to 'insert coins to continue'. This revival grants +50% damage resistance for 30 seconds.
Obtaining the Helmet
To acquire the helmet, players must complete Paradise Island and visit the Sub Rosa faction base at Free Market Station. In The 2nd Choice saloon, players can find Fionna F. Walker who requires them to show a collection of 25 Tossball/Pitchball cards. These cards are mainly located on Paradise Island and Free Market Station, with a few on Golden Ridge.
Comparative Value in Game
While A New Point of View Mk 2 is mainly valued for its novelty, other helmets offer strong passive bonuses. It costs 6,300 bits, and alongside it, players can access a slot-machine hammer and rhythm-game sword in Fionna's inventory, though these items are considered expensive.
