On-Together from GigaPuff transforms a virtual island into a multiplayer coworking space. Designed as a cozy environment, the game allows up to 16 players to collaborate using chibi avatars in various settings like cafes and libraries.
Features and Tools
The game incorporates numerous productivity tools including a to-do list, task planner, journal with mood tracker, and a Pomodoro-style timer. Timers appear above avatars’ heads, aligning focus sessions with friends. Breaks enable fishing, mini-games, or socializing.
Origins and Inspiration
Co-developer Ilgın Saçan explained that On-Together is inspired by early-2000s chatroom culture and personal experiences with online "body-doubling." This concept creates a community feel as avatars work alongside users, providing virtual company.
Release and Future Plans
Currently available in early access, a full release is planned for 2024-01-19. Future updates will expand customization and group spaces, augmenting the virtual coworking experience.
