Unlocker is a lightweight utility for Windows that helps you delete, move, or rename files that are locked by running processes. When an operation fails because a file is in use, the app scans active handles and reports which program, service, or background task is preventing access so you can take informed action. The interface is built for speed and clarity. Drag and drop files into the window, use the Explorer context menu for one click access, or queue multiple items for batch handling. For each entry the tool shows process names, paths, and lock types, and it offers options to unlock the handle, close the handle, or exit the locking process when required. Installation and operation are straightforward: install on desktop Windows and use the optional Android diagnostic companion where supported to inspect mobile storage. The utility prioritizes safety by prompting before forceful actions and keeping a log of changes so you can review operations. It is useful for administrators and everyday users who want to resolve file in use errors without rebooting.

I have mixed feelings about Unlocker. It unlocked my device after a few tries, but I found the interface a little clunky. There’s potential here for improvement, but I’m glad it worked in the end!
