The Copilot App on Windows has introduced a new feature for Windows Insiders, allowing web links to open in a sidepane alongside conversations. This update aims to enhance workflow by maintaining context without switching to a separate browser window.
New Features and Enhancements
With this update, Copilot can access the context of tabs opened within a conversation, enabling users to ask clarifying questions, summarize information, or draft text more efficiently. Tabs are saved with the conversation for easy access later. Users can also opt to sync passwords and form data for smoother operation within Copilot.
Performance and Availability
The update, starting with Copilot app version 146.0.3856.39, promises improved speed and reliability. It includes new features like Podcasts and Study and Learn mode from Copilot.com. While some features may be temporarily unavailable as Microsoft refines them, they will be restored before the app's general release. The rollout is gradually expanding to all Insider Channels worldwide.
Feedback can be provided directly within the Copilot app by selecting the profile icon and choosing "Give feedback."
