Wanakiwi is a free and essential tool designed to help you recover files encrypted by the notorious WannaCry ransomware. This lightweight command-line program retrieves your files without deleting the encrypted versions, which remain on your device with the WNCRY extension. After recovery, it's advisable to format your device and install an unaffected version of Windows, such as the updated Windows 10 that blocks WannaCry.
