Win32 Disk Imager is a user-friendly, open-source application designed to write CD or DVD image files to USB drives or SD cards, effectively creating a virtual disk drive. The program requires no installation—simply unzip, select the desired image from your hard drive, choose the target device, and within seconds, your USB or SD card transforms into a virtual CD. Additionally, you can create an image by copying data from the storage device, though creating an image directly from a CD requires a different tool. Win32 Disk Imager excels in its simplicity and efficiency, performing its tasks flawlessly without consuming significant system resources.

Win32 Disk Imager has its pros and cons. On one hand, it works; on the other, I found it a bit daunting at times. I succeeded in my backup, but it wasn't smooth sailing!
