Ascent is an enchanting 2D platform game where you guide a small forest spirit on a quest to climb a colossal tree. Unbeknownst to your hero, the tree is plagued by a consuming fungus. Navigate through traditional mechanics: move left, right, and jump. Utilize a special button to throw seeds that sprout into mushrooms or roots on green surfaces. Mushrooms boost your jumps, while roots form platforms. The game features two challenging yet short levels, each completable in under 30 minutes. Despite the difficulty, strategically placed checkpoints ensure a balanced experience. Ascent boasts beautiful graphics powered by Unreal Engine and a responsive control system, best enjoyed with an Xbox 360 controller.
