In a significant move for the Finnish gaming industry, Remedy Entertainment has appointed Santtu Kallionpää as its new Chief Financial Officer. Kallionpää brings with him a wealth of experience from his 17-and-a-half-year tenure at Fazer Confectionery, where he held various roles, most recently serving as Vice President of Finance and Business Control for the company’s confectionery division.
Leadership Transition
Kallionpää steps into the role previously held by Terhi Kauppi, who left the company in June. Remedy’s CEO, Tero Virtala, expressed his enthusiasm about Kallionpää’s appointment, stating, “I am delighted to welcome Santtu Kallionpää to Remedy and our core management team.” Virtala emphasized Kallionpää’s extensive financial expertise and his background in consumer business, which includes steering strategic projects and managing business development and performance for key operations.
