Developer Lighthouse Games Relocates to Leamington Spa's Imperial Court
Developer Lighthouse Games is embarking on an exciting new chapter as it relocates to a spacious 20,000 square foot office in Leamington Spa’s Imperial Court. This move, reported by GI.biz, marks a significant milestone for the studio, which was founded by industry veterans from Playground in 2023. The decision to expand comes on the heels of a notable investment from Tencent, secured later that same year.
Strategic Move to Accommodate Growth
Nick Craig, the operations director at Lighthouse Games, expressed enthusiasm about the transition. “We’d been looking for new offices for a while, as our old space at Marlborough House couldn’t accommodate our rapid expansion,” he stated. The new property meets several critical criteria for the team: ample parking for staff commuting by car, proximity to an array of local restaurants and bars for post-work socializing, and plenty of room for future growth.
Jonathan Blood, director of the property firm Wareing and Company, highlighted the significance of this deal, noting, “This deal shows Leamington’s office market is proving more resilient than other towns of its size, and also shows the faith the video games industry has in the town.” The choice of Imperial Court, one of the most prominent office buildings in the area, underscores the studio’s commitment to establishing a vibrant and accessible work environment.
With its versatile layout and convenient access, Imperial Court is poised to become a hub of creativity and collaboration for Lighthouse Games as it continues to carve out its niche in the competitive gaming landscape.
