Last week, the popular battle royale game PUBG: Battlegrounds claimed the top spot as the highest-grossing game on Steam. Rising four places to No.1, the game's success can be attributed to a recent sales event and the Summer Bikini event that captured the attention of gamers.
Valve's Dota 2 Surges Forward
Following closely behind is Valve's Dota 2, which climbed from No.14 to second place. The launch of the Crownfall Collectors Cache, featuring beloved item sets, contributed to its rise in the rankings.
The First Descendant Slips
Meanwhile, The First Descendant dropped to third place as the initial hype surrounding its release began to fade. Despite this, the free-to-play title has still managed to amass over 10 million downloads since its debut.
Valve's Counter-Strike 2 and Steam Deck
Valve's Counter-Strike 2 and Steam Deck slipped to fourth and fifth place, respectively, while Elden Ring fell to sixth after a discount on the action RPG came to an end. The Shadow of the Erdtree DLC also saw a decline, dropping to tenth place.
Apex Legends Climbs the Ranks
On the rise, Apex Legends jumped from No.23 to seventh place, surpassing the newly-released survival title Once Human, which debuted at No.8. Baldur's Gate 3, however, fell to ninth place.
