SoftEther VPN FAQ

To uninstall SoftEther VPN on Windows, go to 'Control Panel' > 'Programs and Features', find 'SoftEther VPN' in the list, select it, and click 'Uninstall'. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process. On Linux, navigate to the installation directory and run the command: './vpnserver stop' to stop the server, then delete the directory: 'rm -rf /path/to/softether/vpnserver'.

Download the SoftEther VPN Server installer from the official website. Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions. Accept the license agreement, choose the installation directory, and configure the VPN server service and management tools. Once the installation is complete, launch 'SoftEther VPN Server Manager'. Follow the setup wizard to complete the initial configuration.

After installing, launch 'SoftEther VPN Server Manager'. Click 'New Settings', enter 'Host Name', 'Port Number' (default is 5555), and 'Password'. Click 'Ok' and double-click the new setting. Download the latest SoftEther VPN Server package for Linux from the official website. Extract the downloaded file using 'tar xzvf <filename>'. Navigate to the extracted directory and run 'make'. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the compilation and installation. Initialize the VPN server by running './vpnserver start'. Use the configuration tool './vpncmd' to finalize the setup.

Launch 'SoftEther VPN Server Manager'. Connect to your VPN server by filling in the required details like 'Host Name', 'Port', and 'Password'.
