In the expansive world of Black Myth: Wukong, players encounter a unique challenge in the Fright Cliff area of Yellow Wind Ridge: the quest to locate Buddha’s Eyeballs. This desolate landscape is populated by living stone adversaries, creating a labyrinthine environment that requires thorough exploration to uncover all six glowing heads that house the precious eyeballs. The task is not merely about finding these items; players must also decipher their intended use, hinted at in the item description, which suggests they may be set into something, though the specifics remain elusive.

Buddha’s Eyeball Locations

Finding the six eyeballs in Fright Cliff can be made easier by the audible chants and glowing presence of the Buddha heads when players are nearby. To collect each eyeball, players simply need to interact with the respective head. Below is a guide to their locations:

  1. First Eyeball: After entering Fright Cliff, head from the Valley of Despair Keeper’s Shrine across the wooden bridge and through the gate guarded by a Spearbone boar. Follow the path to the right to discover the first head.
  2. Second Eyeball: From the Squall Hideout Keeper’s Shrine, move left up the ravine and through the gate. Continue past the crouching statue shrine, then turn left to find a torch-lit altar with a large statue and the Buddha head at its base.
  3. Third Eyeball: Starting from the Squall Hideout Keeper’s Shrine, take a right around the corner. Look for wooden platforms in the distance and jump up the cliffs ahead. Be cautious of the Spearbone enemy guarding the stairs, and ascend to the top platform where the head awaits.
  4. Fourth Eyeball: This one is located on the opposite side of the valley from the previous head, at ground level. From the Squall Hideout Keeper’s Shrine, head right around the cliff and follow the left path past the rock guai enemy. Ascend the rocky steps to find the head along the path.
  5. Fifth Eyeball: Close to the Mother of Stones boss, start from the Squall Hideout Keeper’s Shrine and head left up the ravine, through the gateway, and past the crouching statue. Bear right into the cave passage with torches until reaching a wooden platform with two spitting enemies. Turn left and ascend the path by the three torches; the head is just outside the boss room on a ledge to your right.
  6. Sixth Eyeball: Travel to the Rockrest Flat Keeper’s Shrine, where you should spot the Buddha head directly in front of you a short distance away.

How to Use Buddha’s Eyeballs

Upon collecting all six eyeballs, players can return to the location of the sixth head to utilize them. From the Rockrest Flat Keeper’s Shrine, head left to where the head was located, then take another left into the boss arena. If you haven’t yet faced the Stone Vanguard boss, it’s advisable to do so, as placing the stones will summon another formidable foe, and their interactions could be unpredictable.

After defeating the Stone Vanguard, players can insert the eyeballs into the large stone situated to the left of the entrance. Typically, interacting with this stone reveals text about the eyes, but with all six in hand, players can opt to deliver them. This action triggers the appearance of the Shigandang boss, a many-headed stone golem reminiscent of the Stone Vanguard. Conquering this new adversary rewards players with the Skandha of Feeling, the second skandha available after acquiring the Skandha of Form.
