Nintendo Expands Reach with Hello Mario

Nintendo has announced a new venture, aiming to blend its classic character experiences with modern interactivity through the Hello Mario app. Launching soon on the popular Nintendo Switch platform, iOS, and Android devices, this app invites both parents and children to explore creative play.

The innovative app allows users to engage with Mario in a completely new way. By using touch, children can manipulate Mario's face, twist it around, and watch him react, adding an element of surprise and delight. It creates an inclusive space where children and parents can enjoy time together, enhancing family bonding through playful interaction.

The My Mario Children’s Product Line

This initiative is part of a broader product line under the My Mario series, set to debut on August 26. It offers an array of physical products, including the delightful Mario Wood Block Set. Available as a 3-piece set for 2,980 yen and a more expansive 30-piece Mario & Friends Wood Block Set for 19,980 yen, these blocks are designed to be tactile and safe for young children. Notably, they double as amiibo figures, integrating seamlessly with compatible Nintendo games.

In addition to digital and block play, the series includes a Hello, Mario! board book, priced at 1,870 yen. This interactive book offers various ways for parents to enjoy storytelling with their children, such as opening Mario’s mouth or turning his face, fostering engagement with the character's familiar charm.

Expanding Mario's Universe

The launch of these products is complemented by a series of imaginative visual content. Nintendo will release It’s Me, Mario! Stop Motion Shorts, a collection of one-minute videos showcasing creative uses of the blocks. Hosted on Nintendo's official channels, these shorts offer free entertainment, cementing Hello Mario’s potential as a dynamic multimedia experience.

Available exclusively at Nintendo Tokyo, Nintendo Osaka, and Nintendo Kyoto, the new Hello Mario products aim to cater to both the youngest fans and their nostalgic parents. Through fresh, engaging, and tactile experiences, Nintendo continues to evolve its iconic franchises, ensuring Mario’s legacy remains vibrant and accessible for generations to come.
