Nintendo Unveils Hello Mario App and My Mario Series

23 Aug 2025

Nintendo has made an exciting announcement with the introduction of the Hello Mario app, slated for release on the Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android platforms. Aimed at engaging young gamers, the app allows children to interact playfully by manipulating Mario's face or turning it on the screen, providing responses both entertaining and educational. Parents and children are encouraged to enjoy these intuitive interactions together, broadening the family-friendly appeal of Nintendo's offerings.

The My Mario Series

Coinciding with the app's launch, the My Mario children's product line introduces a series of innovative products designed for early childhood play. Launching August 26, items from this series will be available at Nintendo’s retail locations in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto.

  • Wood Block Sets: Young fans will delight in the physically tangible Mario and Luigi wood block sets, with the Mario Wood Block Set priced at 2,980 yen and the intricate Mario & Friends Wood Block Set at 19,980 yen. These blocks are thoughtfully crafted in sizes and weights ideal for little hands. Moreover, these blocks double as amiibo figures, adding a digital layer to their utility in compatible games.
  • Board Book: The board book Hello, Mario! offers yet another dimension to the learning experience with engaging content for children, available in local bookstores for 1,870 yen.

Nintendo extends the Hello Mario universe beyond physical and digital products by introducing stop-motion shorts titled It’s Me, Mario! Stop Motion Shorts. These minute-long episodes add creative flair to Nintendo's storytelling, made accessible for free through Nintendo’s channels. This multi-platform approach ensures that the Hello Mario experience is comprehensive, merging interactive learning with traditional play.
