Abilities and Gameplay Impact
Rem's abilities are designed to support allies and disrupt opponents. Among them, Pillow Toss damages and knocks back enemies, while Tag Along allows Rem to heal and regenerate allies by napping with them. His unique ability, Naptime, impairs rivals by slowing and disabling their movements, putting them to sleep and dealing damage upon waking. Rem also possesses a summon ability, creating a smaller follower to assist allies.
Character Integration and Promotion
Rem's introduction marks the start of a series of new hero additions to Deadlock. Five more heroes are set to join, with the next reveal scheduled for 2024-01-29. Players will vote on the order of these new characters in the game.
Easter Egg Details
In addition to Rem’s abilities, Valve included a detailed Rem-themed easter egg in the Hideout. This easter egg features a secret bedroom, accessed through air vents, furnished with character-themed items like 'vote for me' posters and tiny followers tucked into blankets, showcasing an elaborate level of detail rare in competitive PvP environments.
