Morefun has taken decisive action against real-world trading among players of Arena Breakout: Infinite, intensifying its efforts to maintain fair play and game integrity.
New Measures and Bans
With the launch of version 1.0, Morefun eliminated the option to purchase the in-game currency Koen with real money, a move aimed at curbing illegal trading activities. The developer has also enhanced its anti-cheat measures to ensure a level playing field for all participants. These actions come as the player base on Steam has maintained numbers above 50,000 in the first month post-launch.
According to Morefun, some players have been manipulating the game's systems to transfer valuable tradable supplies like advanced ammo into raids for large Koen profits. In response, the company has vowed to confiscate any illegally-obtained supplies and impose escalating bans on sellers, with severe infractions leading to suspensions of up to ten years. Buyers caught engaging in these trades will have their gains forfeited and their merit scores reduced.
Leaderboard Manipulation and Penalties
Apart from real-world trades, the developer has also identified unethical behavior in the form of players falsely boosting their extracted loot to climb the game's leaderboard rankings. Offenders will face temporary bans from the leaderboard and merit score deductions. Repeat offenders risk losing all leaderboard access and accumulated merit.
Morefun encourages players to report any rule violations through official Arena Breakout channels. For more detailed information, players are advised to consult the 1.0 patch notes provided by the developer.
