Straftat Expands with Bazaar Update and New Music

10 Nov 2025

Straftat, the free multiplayer FPS by the Lemaitre brothers, has launched its Bazaar update, adding over 50 new maps and 12 music tracks. This expansion aims to enrich the gaming experience with diverse environments and customizable elements.

New Maps and Features

The 1.4.0 update introduces 56 new maps, including 24 covered-marketplace maps, 18 'basket' maps, and 10 Hushardzan maps. Players with Straftat's DLC receive alternate versions, effectively doubling the map options. In addition, 12 tracks by Major Axis are included, along with a new system for integrating personal music.

Game Mechanics and Improvements

Several gameplay enhancements have been deployed. These include crosshair and player outline customization and a handy lobby ban button. Players can now toggle voice chat mute and access a refined map shuffling system. Measures against leaderboard cheating have also been implemented, alongside support for 2v2 team deathmatch and four-way deathmatch modes.

Background and Future Prospects

PC Gamer has commended Straftat for its engaging, chaotic gunplay reminiscent of classic LAN parties. The developers have expressed their commitment to sustaining the game's longevity, suggesting more updates will follow.
