Deep Field Games has released a roadmap for its game Abiotic Factor, detailing upcoming updates and DLCs extending through 2026.
Upcoming Features and Updates
Starting this fall, Abiotic Factor will introduce Community Update Three. This update will feature apocalyptic difficulty settings, a hardcore mode, and sandbox options with adjustable perks, among other enhancements. Players can expect improved trader interactions, armor durability indicators, and additional in-game items such as an industrial crossbow and a hardlight spear.
The update will also roll out a battery-charging crate, wall-mountable item stands, and farmables like mushrooms. An innovative exercise equipment mechanic will allow electricity generation through physical activity.
New Environments and DLC
The first paid DLC, Temple of Stone, will feature architecture inspired by Ancient Greek and Roman styles. Simultaneously, a free Winter Cabin world update and Holiday Cryosphere patch will introduce the portal world IS-0126 and enhanced baked goods buffs.
Deep Field Games plans for a massive story-driven DLC by summer 2026, adding new sectors, portal worlds, enemy types, and traders. This expansion promises a dynamic gameplay experience with new recipes and home worlds.
Future Expansion and Community Engagement
A mysterious crossover event is hinted for spring 2026, with details contingent on contract finalizations. Future updates include multi-quest journals, boats, a brewing system, better pets and fishing mechanics, along with tailor-made enemy behavior and emote customization.
