Nazara to Launch Bodycam on Fortnite, Expanding Reach

08 Sep 2025

Nazara Technologies Ltd. has revealed plans to introduce the well-regarded PC game, Bodycam, to the Fortnite platform—a move set to expand the audience of this hyper-realistic tactical title significantly. This adaptation marks the game's debut within the Fortnite ecosystem, leveraging its diverse environment and vast user base.

Bodycam's integration into Fortnite is produced using the Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN), ensuring that the game maintains its stunning visuals and optimized performance while introducing sandbox capabilities to cater to both casual gamers and die-hard fans. This move by Nazara is seen as an innovative step in adapting high-fidelity PC games for more dynamic gaming platforms.

Strategic Collaboration

According to Nitish Mittersain, CEO of Nazara Technologies, bringing Bodycam to Fortnite is not just about expanding the game's reach but also about joining a growing hub of creators, brands, and gamers. This initiative is described by Mittersain as a landmark moment for creator-led gaming, highlighting the convergence of various gaming stakeholders on the Fortnite platform.

The project was created in collaboration with UEFN developer Virstate and supported by Reissad Studio, the original creators of Bodycam. This partnership aims to deliver an island experience that combines tactical action with community-driven modes, ensuring the game is accessible to Fortnite players across different devices, including gaming consoles, PCs, and mobile phones.

Inspiring Future Developments

The founders of Virstate expressed their enthusiasm, hoping that Bodycam's island will inspire other gaming intellectual properties to embrace the potential offered by UEFN. Meanwhile, Reissad Studio highlighted that Bodycam's highly realistic gameplay is now reaching millions of Fortnite players, free of charge, thanks to this technological innovation.

Features and Gaming Experience

This new edition of Bodycam utilizes the power of Unreal Engine 5.3, featuring enhanced lighting, sound, and balanced multiplayer experiences. Players can choose from two engaging multiplayer modes: Gun Game and Team Deathmatch, with an additional array of creator-submitted maps anticipated to launch in the near future.

The expansion aligns with Nazara's broader strategy aimed at scaling both original and third-party games on a global scale. By leveraging established platforms like Fortnite, Nazara is poised to tap into the emerging trends within the gaming industry, ensuring a vibrant future for Bodycam and similar titles.
