Remedy has postponed the next major update for Firebreak, titled Rogue Protocol, to January 2026. This strategic decision is intended to refine a new wave-based survival mode, Endless Shift.
Endless Shift challenges players with limited equipment in a confined area of the Oldest House, combating the Hiss. As enemies are defeated, they drop Corruption, a currency for upgrades and enhancements, enabling players to devise potent strategies through ability stacking.

This delay allows for an extended development period focusing on game balance and polish, aimed at offering players a rewarding experience. Remedy anticipates that Endless Shift will invigorate Firebreak, providing fresh content and engagement opportunities.
