Highguard, a new hero shooter created by former developers of Titanfall and Apex Legends, launches globally today at 6pm GMT on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. The announcement was made as 'one last thing' at The Game Awards.
Launch Details
Highguard will not be available for pre-load; players can begin the download at the launch time of 6pm GMT. The game requires approximately 25GB of install space, with an estimated download size of 20GB, taking around 15 minutes on average UK internet speeds.
Access and Multiplayer
The game is free to play on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. However, players on Xbox and PlayStation will need an active subscription to their respective online services to access multiplayer features.
Potential Challenges
Due to the unexpected announcement and lack of early access, servers may experience pressure from the influx of players during the launch. The absence of pre-load options could add to the initial congestion as many players attempt to download and access the game simultaneously.
