Microsoft has launched Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 28020.1362 for the Canary Channel, enhancing gaming, cameras, and user interface.
Enhanced Gaming and UI Features
The new build introduces the Full Screen Experience (FSE) for more Windows 11 handheld devices, enabling a console-style interface with the Xbox app. Users can activate this setting via Settings > Gaming > Full screen experience.
The Click to Do context menu has been updated for streamlined design with automated appearance for larger images and tables. Additionally, the File Explorer now supports enhanced dark modes and Copilot+ integration for work and school accounts.
Camera and Mobile Management Improvements
Windows Studio Effects now supports additional cameras, including USB webcams, available in Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Cameras. Users can also manage mobile devices in Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Mobile Devices.
The new build also enables multi-file sharing through the Drag Tray, offering better app suggestions and seamless folder movement, toggled in Settings > System > Nearby sharing.
Additional System and App Enhancements
Input updates include more keyboard settings moved to Settings and improved keyboard backlight performance. The OneDrive icon sees a refresh, while Game Pass references in Settings now show new branding.
Paint app version 11.2511.281.0 introduces a collapsible toolbar. Furthermore, the build addresses issues in File Explorer, Taskbar, and Settings, along with fixes for Internet connectivity and device stuttering.
Advanced Settings now feature a Virtual Workspaces toggle to control Hyper-V and Windows Sandbox functionalities. Quick Machine Recovery offers a one-time scan for guiding recovery options.
