The Infernals species pack expands gameplay by adding three distinct alien species, inspired by birds, crocodilians, and Tyranid-like organisms. Two new origins, Cosmic Dawn and Red Giant, offer players fresh narratives involving ancient awakenings and solar superheating. The addition of volcanic worlds brings new districts, events, and archaeological sites.
Gameplay Changes
Species packs in Stellaris are optional DLC that offer new character portraits, civics, ships, and nuanced gameplay adjustments. The Infernals pack also introduces a new endgame crisis path, which is hinted to have potentially galaxy-burning consequences, adding to the strategic depth of the game.
