Blue Dot Games has delayed the early access release of its military FPS, '83', to 2026 to focus on substantial game enhancements. The game initially featured large-scale battles, drawing comparisons to Battlefield.
Game Improvements
The development team has rerouted its efforts towards core aspects of the game following mixed reviews during the Steam Next Fest. Key improvements include:
- Retuned gunplay: adjustments in recoil, visual feedback, and camera shake.
- Improved animations: movement and terrain alignment enhancements.
- Addressed technical issues: server and crash problems are being tackled.
- Complete UI overhaul planned.
Map Revamp
The Norway map, now renamed Fjord, is undergoing a complete rework. Changes include new lighting and a destruction system akin to Battlefield's.
These comprehensive updates are expected to elevate the overall game quality upon its release in 2026.
