New Modes and Features
Emergence introduces two new gameplay modes. The 'Treasure Hunt' mode focuses on exploration, scavenging rewards, and completing quests, offering a calm gaming experience. Meanwhile, 'Fleet Battle' is a competitive 3v3 setup where teams compete by destroying ships and capturing Artifacts.
- The new character, Charlie, offers strategic advantages by reviving allies and protecting them from environmental hazards.
- A fresh biome is also added, characterized by ice fields and the ability to salvage parts from downed ships at Crimson Towers.
- Custom lobbies and options to play solo or in pairs are now available.

Moonshot Games will host an AMA session with studio head Jason Chayes and co-founder Dustin Browder on 2025-11-21 at 10am PST / 1pm EST / 6pm GMT / 7pm CEST. The session will occur on Discord, allowing fans to discuss the Emergence update directly with the creators.
Availability and Events
Players can enjoy a free Steam weekend from 2025-11-20 to 2025-11-23, providing an opportunity to explore Wildgate's new features without purchase. This free weekend coincides with the release of the Emergence update.
