Inkle Studios has announced the release date for TR-49, with the game scheduled to arrive on PC via Steam and iOS on 2026-01-21. This game is a narrative deduction experience, presented as an audio drama set in the World War II era.
Game Features and Storyline
TR-49 invites players to immerse themselves in a quest centered around a mysterious WWII-era machine hidden in a church basement. The game's narrative follows a voice guiding players to locate a stolen book. They will delve into a massive archive containing obscure books, letters, and journals, contributed by Bletchley Park engineers Cecil Caulderly and Beatrice Dooler.
The challenge is to deduce connections within the archive, unravel the embedded stories, expose the architects' secrets, and ultimately destroy the book central to the machine. Dynamic dialogue enriches the player's experience alongside an original soundtrack by Laurence Chapman.
Voice Cast and Performance
In addition to its intriguing storyline and atmospheric soundtrack, TR-49 boasts performances by notable voice actors, including Rebekah McLoughlin, Paul Warren, and Phillipe Bosher. Their contributions aim to bring the characters and narrative to life, enhancing the overall immersion into the audio drama.
