Sektori Launch Set for November 18 by Ex-Housemarque Designer

11 Oct 2025

Kimmo Lahtinen, former Housemarque designer, announces the launch of Sektori, a dynamic shoot 'em up game, on 2025-11-18. The game offers a new take on the arcade-style genre.

Innovative Gameplay Features

Sektori challenges players with a 3D arrow-shaped ship to navigate through dynamically changing arenas. These arenas can expand, narrow, reshape, and even split, demanding constant adaptation from players. The game introduces a unique mechanic where players can launch their ship as a projectile, dealing massive damage but risking vulnerability.

Game Content and Modes

The final release includes a five-world campaign with levels that change dynamically, giving each playthrough a distinct experience. Players can choose from alternate ships, each customizable through roguelike-style upgrade decks, enhancing replayability. Additionally, Sektori includes six alternative game modes, ensuring diverse gameplay options.

Development Background

Lahtinen, who spent 13 years at Housemarque, created Sektori to combine innovative gameplay with established arcade roots. Initially previewing the game last year, he later took the demo offline to focus on refining it, promising significant improvements in the final version.
