Adds 109 New Achievements to Dawn of War

23 Nov 2025

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War, developed by Relic, has added 109 new Steam achievements, enhancing the gameplay experience for its Definitive Edition and GOG users. This update marks a significant addition 20 years after the original release.

Details of New Achievements

The new achievements cover diverse in-game feats and challenges. Players can earn accolades for activities like winning skirmishes and multiplayer matches with every game faction and experiencing all campaign endings.

  • Available on Steam and GOG platforms.
  • Achievements require stat tracking and certain multiplayer tasks involve finding online opponents.
  • Famous challenges include exterminating 666 space marines as Chaos and deploying legendary units such as the Greater Knarloc and Bloodthirster.
  • An accolade for eliminating 40,000 enemy units is part of the new challenges.

Implementation and Challenges

Introducing these achievements entails stat tracking, hence progress won't retroactively apply to past accomplishments. However, finishing a previously completed campaign again will unlock the respective achievements. Most new achievements should be accessible to players, albeit some multiplayer achievements depend on finding opponents online.
