NVIDIA has released RTX Remix Logic on 2026-01-27, enhancing modders' capabilities by adding dynamic graphics effects to classic PC games. This system enables real-time event-driven modifications without the need for source code or engine access.
Features and Capabilities
RTX Remix Logic allows modders to respond to over 30 in-game events, such as player position and in-game time changes. These triggers can manipulate 900 graphics parameters, influencing elements like lighting conditions and weather systems.
The platform uses a no-code node-based interface. Users can drag and drop nodes to create visual effects by connecting triggers and actions, with real-time previews available in the Remix editor. This flexibility benefits both novice and advanced modders, fostering customization through shared custom event triggers and new action nodes via plugins.
Application and Integration
NVIDIA demonstrated the potential of RTX Remix Logic in the game Half-Life 2 RTX by enabling a 'Ravenholm multiverse' on opening a specific door. The company states this technology can be applied to over 165 classic PC games.
In addition, NVIDIA announced updates for DLSS technology. The upcoming Half Sword game will include DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation and an upgrade to DLSS 4.5 for Super Resolution. Furthermore, the game Code Vein II will support DLSS Super Resolution, allowing for enhanced visual fidelity.
