Microsoft has launched its Black Friday 2025 sale, offering significant discounts on Xbox digital games through December 3, 2025. The sale features over 2,000 titles, including discounts of up to 75% on Xbox games and up to 85% on select PC digital games, a strategic focus to boost digital store engagement.
Game Discounts Offered
Key highlights from the sale include strong discounts across various popular Xbox and PC games. Noteworthy offers include Assassin's Creed Shadows priced at $41.99 after a 40% discount and Hogwarts Legacy significantly reduced to $10.49, reflecting an 85% discount. Moreover, Fallout 76 sees a reduction to $9.99, illustrating Microsoft’s aggressive pricing strategy targeting gamers.
Other Xbox game discounts feature Battlefield 6 at $59.59 with a 15% cut and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 reduced by 50% to $34.99. PC gamers can also enjoy deals on titles like Ready or Not for $39.99, a 20% savings.
Accessory Discounts and Absence of Console Deals
While substantial price cuts on games are a focal point, accessories are also receiving attention. Xbox Wireless Controllers are available at up to 38% off, depending on the color. Other offerings include the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 at a 30% discount, bringing the price to $139.99.
Despite the extensive game and accessory deals, there are no official Microsoft discounts on Xbox Series S or X consoles during this period. Retail partners such as Target, Best Buy, and Walmart might provide additional console bundles and offers to complement Microsoft’s strategy.
This concerted sale approach suggests a calculated bid to drive digital sales and enhance the appeal of Microsoft's gaming ecosystem for the holiday season, signaling a focus on engaging the digital marketplace over hardware.
